Baseline Personnel Security Standard and Security Check (BPSS/SC) - MOD Form 1109 - is a MOD mandatory vetting requirement for Uniformed Adult Instructors serviing in the Cadet Forces (including the Sea Cadet Corps).  It is also a fundamental eligibility requirement for the CFAV ID Card.

Detailed instructions on how to complete the MOD Form 1109 (both MSSC and MOD) are below.  

BOTH THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE COMPLETING THE MOD FORM 1109.   INCOMPLETE OR INCORRECT FORMS WILL BE RETURNED TO THE APPLICANT.

Completed MOD Form 1109 are to be submitted to the Admin & Personnel Officer at MSSCHQ.

Note: A MOD Form 1109 is not required for Uniformed Adult Instructors who have served more than 3 years prior to 1 April 2007.  However those Uniformed Adult Instructors who are required to have uncontrolled access to weapons and ammunition must still complete this form.
