Acess NI is a Criminal History Disclosure Service within the Department of Justice in Northern Ireland. Access NI commenced operations in April 2008 and operates in accordance with Part V of the Poice Act 1997.
Access NI enables organisations in Northern Ireland to make more informed recruitment decisions by providing crimial history information about anyone seeking paid or unpaid work working with children or vulnerable adults.
Northern Area Office (on behalf of MSSCHQ) takes overall responsibility for ensuring that:
- All adult volunteers (uniformed and non uniformed instructors, Unit Assistants and Unit trustees) are cleared to Enhanced disclosure level.
