Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)

The Protection of Children Act (PoCA) 1999 and the Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000, which made most of the PoCA measures law, require all adults regularly working with children or in positions of influence and trust within children’s organisations in England and Wales to obtain Disclosure clearances from the Criminal Record Bureau (CRB).

MSSCHQ takes overall responsibility for ensuring that:

  • All Instructors (uniformed and non uniformed) and Unit Assistants are cleared to Enhanced disclosure level.
  • All members of the UMC (charity trustees) are cleared to a Standard disclosure level.

If you require CRB Application Forms contact Area Offices or the Admin and Personnel Department at MSSCHQ.
