Access NI

AccessNI was established by a joint programme between the Northern Ireland Office, the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety, the Department of Education and the Police Service of Northern Ireland. Access NI enables organisations in Northern Ireland to make more informed recruitment decisions by providing crimial history information about anyone seeking paid or unpaid work working with children or vulnerable adults.

Access NI is part of central government and operates under the provisions of the Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults (Northern Ireland) Order 2003 and Part V of the Poice Act 1997.

Northern Area Office (on behalf of MSSCHQ) takes overall responsibility for ensuring that:

  • All Instructors (uniformed and non uniformed) and Unit Assistants are cleared to Enhanced disclosure level.
  • All members of the UMC (charity trustees) are cleared to Enchanced disclosure level.

If you require an AccessNI Application Form you can download it from their website: www.accessni.gov.uk/application-form.pdf or contact:
