Afloat training activities are central to the core values of the Sea Cadets. The Sea Cadets participate in these activities:

Safety during afloat activities is of paramount importance, our boatwork conforms to the highest standards of the respective National Governing Bodies or Ministry of Defence regulations.

 

Royal Yachting Association Recognised Training Centre Information - The qualifications gained in the Sea cadetsfor dinghy sailing, powerboating and windsurfing are those of the Royal Yachting Association. This means the Sea Cadets gain Internationally recognised awards and certificates.

 

Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme - All of the afloat activities carried out in the Sea Cadets can be used to contribute to gaining Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards. Contact your unit DofE coordinator for further information.
