All cadets learn seamanship skills as part of their Core Training; the training provides basic skills in safe handling of ropes, basic knot tying etc and underpins many aspects of practical Sea Cadet Training. The Core Training is useful in pulling, sailing, kayaking, power boating, offshore sailing and land based activities such as Expedition Training. The courses are run over two days or a week. For further information please consult the Seamanship Training Manual.
