Law Works for Community Groups: Link to website
Quality legal advice is invariably expensive and often unaffordable for many not-for-profit organisations. LawWorks for Community Groups was launched by the Solicitors Pro Bono Group to fill this gap. Thanks to a national network of volunteer lawyers, free business law advice is provided to community groups who do not have sufficient funds to pay for legal fees.
LawWorks for Community Groups can assist with advice on: Corporate Law (e.g. advice on contracts and setting up a company limited by guarantee); Employment Law (e.g. drafting or updating employment contracts); Intellectual Property Law (e.g. advice on copyright, data protection, website use); Property Law (e.g. lease terms) and many other legal areas where a court case or employment tribunal is not needed or in progress
