Each Sea Cadet Unit is an independent charitable organisation affiliated to The Marine Society & Sea Cadets. As such each Unit is required under its constitution (Chapters 1, 2 and 6 of Sea Cadet Regulations) to hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Below is detailed guidance on preparing for, and managing, an AGM or an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM). This includes examples of pre-notices, agendas, a format for minutes, notification form, trustee declaration form and a checklist that should form the basis of planning for the AGM.
